I have been in the optimization field from last 7 years and have seen the Google seasons which were really so great to change and make us learn a lot.

As per today, google optimization have become very sensitive and shuffling of your rankings is very frequent based on the work you are doing or more effective work your competitors are doing. Can somebody have a bigger idea of such frequent shuffling....want to know other thoughts as I have my own perception....

Hi Aslam,

I am very found of search engine research and working as a consultant also for few of my US UK clients. My close research had a good effect on the campaigns my known people in online marketing are running.

If you feed Google what it wants rankings will be consistent. Need proof, just look at who holds the top results in competitive niches.

For small sites with fewer incoming links and webmasters who are always tweeking this or that trying to get a few places improvement rankings are going to be erratic.

Be consistent in what you do. Google publishes what they want to see and they provide Webmaster Tools so you can see what they see.

It's really that simple. And why would one expect them not to change... new technology (The explosion in Mobile for example) are going to change the landscape.

There has been a lot of fluctuation in the SERPs as of late. For the past 2 years or so things have seemed rather consistent, but over the past week or so things have really been jumping around. I'm not saying it is all bad, but there is definitely something new being rolled out. Obviously some will be affected more than others.

The most exciting thing is that within seconds some results are fluctuating which means there is something really fishy going in Google updates and the result manipulation is very high.

Check a ranking in Google and just refresh the page or click on same search again, you might see changed result.
